This is my first car that i get to full restore. Guys go easy on me, because my knowledge on cars is not as advance as yours. I do thinkzi will learn a lot. My Maveick is not running right now. I hace changed the coil because I was not getting any spark. After changing the coil I was told that the spark plug wires were removed and they are not sure if they were put back on correctly, so... I gues i have to go thru that headache. advise is welcome, and no I;m not going to give up and get rid of the Maverick.

Here is a link to wiring your ignition system. You will use Figure #2 to wire in just the coil to the system to make sure that it works. Do not hook up the HyFire box at this time. You are just trying to get it running right now. Another thing is the Tac wire, do not connect it as this time either. Just hook up the Distributor and coil as shown. As for the firing order it looks OK but the #3 and #4 wires I can not tell if they are in the correct spot. I also can not see if they were put back on with the engine at TDC (Top Dead Center). So as for the plug wires you kinda have to be there to determine if they are correct. Hope this helps for now. Let us know what you find, then we can help you get to where you need to be.
