recently rebuilt my Carter YF on my 250. It runs great, except for an odd problem I've never encountered before. Coming to a stop, the idle will dip 100RPM from standard idle, and then return. Example: 600-500-600RPM. Its a smooth motion, no stuttering or misfire. I can hear the idle change, and its indicated on my tach. I thought it might be a problem with the fuel sloshing around the bowl, but if you make repeated stops after the initial stop, the idle speed will not dip. If a gentle rolling stop is made, it does not occur. Maybe the float drop setting is incorrect?

If you have auto trans, may be the dash pot adjustment.
