oil pan questions

    i see that there is a difference between the maverick/comet front sump oil pans and the fairmont type of pans...does anyone know if the fairmont one will fit in a 71 mav with the v8 bar under the shock towers? or am i gonna have to get the maverick oul pan?they look close but i'm not sure.
    any help would be appreciated

    '73 Maverick 2-door, V-8
    As long as it is a front-sump pan, it'll work. I have no idea what the Fairmonts have but they may be rear-sump or dual sump...

    the fairmonts have a front sump as well, but they are a little different in shape.....not sure if it will fit
