anyone out there know any companies that have the OEM stock colors in a rattle can? actually i'm looking for color code 4z.. seems no one around here puts paint in spray cans anymore. i found places that match but won't put them in spray cans. i checked out Dearbon too but it seems they only have interior paint. anyone know?

I've found Wimbeldon White (9A?) is made by Dupli-color. Purchased 5 cans at my local Meijer. Perfect match.

You can buy aresol sprayers and pour your own paint in them. They work very well.

I tried this once; paint shop told me to dilute it (their mix) with a ratio of 2 parts paint to 1 part paint thinner. I thought perhaps this was too too much thinner and it sprayed on very uneven.

I think the sprayer I used said to mix it 1:1 with thinner. I have painted several things with these sprayers.....worked well for me.

yeah i seen those too but man some of these match paint places that sell them by the can (pint).. they are expensive! i'd rather save myself some time with a spray can.

i'll let you know when i paint it... oh yeah and get it running to! but it is getting close! :D

There are several vendors that advertise in Hemming's that supply OEM color rattle cans in any color. I don't doubt that they are expensive. They do not advertise prices. Drop me a line, Matt, if you want me to put together a list of them from the current edition and e-mail it to you.

Buying a sprayer would likely be a good idea. I'm assuming you have a compressor. Usually a 1:1 mix ratio should work well, as Craig said. Best thing would be to practice with some cheap paint you don't really need for anything important on something junk and get the feel for the sprayer. You don't have to buy the best one to do the job and you'd have it for other things after this project is done.
