    Yeah, it's ugly. A Maverick with Datsun 280-Z treatment. I don't care if it's fast, I don't care if it's a "one-of-a-kind", it's a P.O.S.

    Drag-N-Fly

Yes, I got a call and an e-mail with the pictures from John Roof, the owner, too. It's located in Wichita Falls, TX. (940) 322-5304
    His e-mail: jake47rolland@aol.com

The only thing I can add is that the cars, delivered by Eagle Lincoln-Mercury, came with a 302 with an aluminum intake, a 4 bbl Holley
carburetor, and dual exhaust. There were "Drag-N-Fly" letters on the sides and Drag-N-Fly decals on the car too.

The rest of the Drag-N-Fly trim (fiberglass nose) was added with rivets connecting it to the metal body! If someone wanted to blend the lines to eliminate the rivets, it would look better.

He is interested in trading for a Falcon.

P.S. I don't care for the look either, but I could maybe help in the delivery of the car, since I'm only 350 miles away.

Yes, I found it hard to believe there were about 400 Drag-N-Flys made, too. Surely out of that many, we would have seen a couple more turn up around here by now. I've lived in Texas 35 years and never run into one!

That's not just ugly, it's butt ugly. Those poor Grabbers. Someone please rescue the survivors from this abuse. Oh and as far as blending the lines to eliminate the rivets, well, you can put a pig in an evening gown, but it's still gonna be a pig. Oh, the humanity...

Dosen't uniqueness or rareness count for anything? I dont care for the looks either but I wouldn't mind having it just because of what it is (or was).

An absolute hunk of junk....and not really very creative. Riveting a Datsun nose to the fenders with no finish work (doesn't even line up with the car, there are gaps everywhere) is just lousy craftsmanship. And what's up with that ugly rear wing? If I spray-paint a dry piece of dog crap and make it into a unique and rare one-of-a-kind creation, it's STILL a piece of dog crap. They basically ruined 400 perfectly good Grabbers, someone should buy the car and convert it back to a REAL Grabber...

It was a rhetorical question but I'm glad you cleared up your opinion. LOL

I could make it look cool, don't forget that we are taking cars that everyone else thinks are ugly (mavericks) and many of us have come out with some pretty sweet cars. Lets at least give this Drag-N-Fly a chance. Not sure if I could make that rear spoiler look good though, that would just be really hard. lol. The front end is interesting to me though, I always wanted something more aerodynamic.
