Went to an old salvage yard last weekend. Don't think they have crushed a car in over 60 years. Only got to see half the yard as I ran out of time.
Plan on going back this weekend.
Seen about 12 Mavericks / Comets, some better than others.

Not much left on this one. [IMG]

    Nice small bumper Comet.

    Almost a good battery apron.

Nice set of Bobcat tail lights. (still on the car)

Never seen one of these in a salvage yard before.

This one has been there for a long time. Still has poly glass tires on it.

It bites that you could restore this one out of a catalog.

Wish I could find a small bumper Comet! The yard I visit has two Bobcats, one runs and he'll even start it up for you.

I counted at least 9 57 Chevy wagons both 2 and 4 doors.

I need to find some here in the NY/NJ area. I bet those would be full of some great cars.

Does the yard sell the whole cars and what shape are they in? Any chance of pics the next time you go???

I know someone looking for one to build. They would prefer the Handyman (2 door), but would take a 4 door.

That place reminds of a place in White, Ga that my son and I visited several years ago. It had over 1000 old cars from the 60's and 70's. The guy refused to sell anything. We did get the fellow who helped run the place to sell a nice set of rocker mouldings for one of my Cougars. What a waste!
