overdrive..........

    ...I'm gonna ask again. I'm gonna go look at a '76 Maverick tomarrow. The owners say it has 3speed with overdrive. :huh: Is it possible its a factory option ?? Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!,dave:hmmm:

    1972 Sprint and 1975 Maverick
    Granadas were available with that tranny in the mid-70s.
    It is based on the toploader 4 speed, but not as strong.
    It would bolt right in place of a Maverick 3 speed tranny.
    A PO probably made the swap long ago.
    It has 3 speed ratios with an overdrive as 4th.
    Not a bad idea IMO.
    Not stock on a Mav though.
