Parts needed for a 1974 Maverick

I have a 1974 Maverick with a 250ci/c4. I am looking for a stock gas cap, rear tails lights (both sides), and a tan passenger door handle/armrest. If anyone can point me in the right direct to find a resource for this items that would be great. Thanks for helping out a new Maverick owner.

 

Welcome aboard! I can help you out with the tail lights but I don't have a correct gas cap or arm rest. This stuff is fairly easy to find. It's on eBay all the time. If you wanna get just the tail lights though, send me a pm.

What is your price for the tail lights? How would you take payment? Are they in good shape? The ones that came with the car are weather cracked and glued together (look like s__t!) the housings are perfect though. Let me know. Thanks

I can help you out on the tail lights and gas cap . the maverick came with two different gas cap witch one are you looking for ?

It had no gas cap when I bought it. I got a locking cap but it's a piece. I have seen the large chrome one with a black center on line before and that looks nice. What kind of money are you looking to get for your parts? Can I get any pictures? thanks jono

Thanks for the welcome, I am working on a 74 Maverick for my daugther and I need the following items: passenger arm rest in tan, tail light lens, and the gas cap. Welcome to the board ... great bunch of guys here, and more info on these cars than anywhere else. I have had these cars for 20+ years and still learn new things every couple weeks.

Tan armrests right here ...
I am very picky about my descriptions, too ... the lighter ones are 9 out of 10s, the darker ones 8 on a 10 scale.

I suspect the darker ones are closer in color to what you need.

If you like the lighter ones, you should be able to dye them, and they have a revised upper mount that seems stronger than the earlier ones.(no chrome trim ring in this design, and it screws to the steel in the door, not the fiberboard door panel). These include all the hardware too.
