We are trying to get Idea's of the amount of parts we are going to produce,,, We would like to see that every one gets the parts they need but we need Numbers or amounts of each part that you are looking for.
With the costs involved in reproducing the Maverick parts Our ghoal is to have 80% of the car being reproduced in 24 months,,, the only way this is going to hapen is the type of parts and the amounts need to be close so instead of wasting money on over runs we can deliver the parts needed plus a few extra,, and move on to another part. We are all going to win when you find that you need a part and it is available at a sweet price,,, if we have tomany over runs that have parts sitting on the shelf
the finance could run out before we get to our ghoal of having all the major parts made,,, if we get close to the numbers on production it will save money and we can always go back and tool up if a part is out of stock,, this is going to require all of us to work together. Please tell us who you are,,,, what parts you need,,, how many of a part you would like
Please help us to take the number you provide to us to better serve your needs so it keeps the cost of production down,, and we can continue on our path of getting more and more diferant parts to help with the upkeep and restoration of your cars,,,

Please either contact me,,, or Tony at RPS by E-mail or call,, let us know what you need for your cars,,, Help us streamline the production of reproduction parts,, example- 30 people need a battery apron for a 1971 Maverick,, we will produce 40. That allows us to fill your orders and still have some set back incase some one comes across the Forum or a car they want to repair,, the part is still able to be gotten,,,, but we have moved on to making another part that was badly needed and getting it out in record time to those who need it.
We can do this,, Lets work on this together,,, and our ghoal of 80% of the car will hapen. Its our Club our Forum and our cars that win,,, (y)

:bowdown:Joe you are doing a great(I cant stress enough the word great)service for the Mav/Comet communityI wait with baited breath for Much of what you are working on now.I think(JMO) Sheet metal should be a main focus.Front fenders,Door skins,Rear wheel houses inner/outer(perhaps a mini tub kit)Cowl skins and cowl repair panels. Many people will scrap a mav/comet due to bad cowl rot(and becuase its a huge job to repair) With out good sheet metal availability you cant build a car that would otherwise go to the crusher. These cars are becoming more scarce and the more sheet metal you can make, the more of them we can save.Stainless trim replacement stuff would be nice too.Dont get me started on interrior upholstery.Just my two pennies Joe.Keep the goodies coming and the fires burning.Hope this helps,Pete.:thumbs2:

Hey Joe, I know you are looking at door trim panels. Have you looked into seat upholstery kits like they have available for the Mustangs? Buckets especially.

The hardest and most requested parts off the top of my head...

--front and rear valences for small bumper cars (I think you have that covered in composite material)
--Bucket seat brackets, with two different styles for pre- and post-cat cars
--A center console, maybe granada style like Fan2488 recently scored
--you would make a MINT if you made grabber hoods:D (sorry Maverick Man:huh:)
--gravel pan for front small bumper cars
--Last, but not least...302 BOSS motors:yahoo:

I told my father to carefully check every spot on his Stallion and give me a list of all the part he want/need for his restoration.

After, i will send you the list and put it here so it could give idea to other member of part they could need.

Again, thanks for everything you are doing for the community. Your work will save a lot of Maverick/Comet.

BTW, did i mention the frame cover rocks? :D

That's the only problem I see, Joe, is that we all want and need certain things, but may not be able to afford them when they are ready. If there is a certain number of over run on every part, then we could be able to get them when we can afford them. Not trying to put a damper on what you are doing by no means, it's really great that these parts are finally being reproduced, it's just that many of us have to save up to get the nicer and more costly parts, thus it takes a longer time to get them. Am I making sense? I would like to have both front and rear small bumpers and valences, but might only be able to get one piece, then a few months later, the next one, see what I mean?

We would rather have maybe 10 as an over run then 100,, Oh believe me I know the feeling when cash is tight,,,, We will have some over run,, but want to keep it low,,, if we run out of funds we cant keep going after diferant parts to produce,,, we are just looking for an Idea to help us keep the cost down for every one,, and still get allot of diferant parts out as well,,, These parts will be here for the Comunity,, just want to hit that ghoal of 80% of the Maverick,,,:bananaman

    Thank you

    Joe,

    Here's my personal list ...

Small Comet front bumper (only seen one straight rechromeable junkyard bumper in 15 years and it was so rusted onto the car I had to give up).

Battery Tray and the inner fender panel behind it.

    Door skins

Repair panels for the 1/4s behind the rear tires, perhaps lowest 8 inches or so.

Cowl repair panels, maybe the bottom tray leading up an inch on all sides, with the water dam ring welded in.

Thanks for all the hard work.
    Jeff

That's cool. I can't see making an extra 100 of part X when there is only demand for 20-30 either. I just wanted you to keep us in mind that want to get the repop stuff but need the flexability of time to save up for them.:Handshake

All of you in The Maverick/Comet comunity are always first on our minds,, With out this Comunity there would be no need for parts,, You will allways be able to get parts,,, So No worries,,, We got ya covered,

Tony at RPS has a file for all of your request,, we speak every day on new things,, so keep sending your needs to us,,, I dont mind making small numbers in parts over a long periods of Time,, Just dont want to get stuck with big number that takes away from bringing a new part out to every one,,,

All the parts request need to be E-mailed to RPS,, There is allot of parts that is already in stock that you have listed above. When your list gets E-mailed to RPS,, Tony will go thru your request and E-mail you back of what we already have on the shelf and the prices. We are dealing with many diferant manufacturing companies to bring you the parts you need and some things arrive and have not yet been placed on the RPS web-site.
So please Send all parts request to RPS. This way we can see what is the most demanded parts and how many need to be produced and we can work on getting them out alot faster.
