sorry for the bad pic but whos car is this? its on pascagoula st. i knew a few people are from here but i saw this car today and wanted to check it out! im here for a family reunion and BORED!! LOL
That's a car I used to own. Sold it about 6 months ago. It's a 6 cyl 71 Grabber. The car had been restored by a shop over in Pensacola Florida and was a pretty shabby job. The car is a good driver but not show quality. The interior is the best thing I liked about the car. Very nice factory deluxe bucket interior. I sold the car for $3800. You were only about a 1/4 mile from my shop when you saw that. You coulda stopped by and I woulda showed you my Stallion. If you wanted to ride over to my house tomorrow, in Grand Bay Al., I can show you the rest of my cars. It's about 25 miles from there...towards Mobile Al.
Here's a few more pics of it (some you can actually see) http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/ind...viewPicture&friendID=102105885&albumId=981809
Yes, that used to be a Sprint but I converted it into a Grabber!!! LOL. I don't know if you read the thread a while back but this is a car I had purchased thru eBay. Very shortly after I bought it I found out that my brother (who worked for me in my body shop) had cancer. Unfortunately he had been an alcoholic since he was in his 20's so he never had anything to show for all of his years of working. He drank it all away. He probably would have never kept a job had it not been for me. Anyway, he always loved my Mavericks and has had 2 or 3 over the years but never had a really nice one as you would expect out of an alcoholic. Well, they gave him about 6 months to live because it was already in stage 3. He pretty much went into a severe depression and didn't want to leave the house anymore. I decided to give him this Maverick as a gift, kinda like a last dying wish. I didn't know how much longer he would be able to even drive but it didn't matter. You would have thought I gave him his life back when I handed him the keys. It really made me feel good to be able to do it. I knew it was just pretty much a loan but I would never say that to him. Anyway, for the next three months he came back to work, however limited in what he could do, but he was so happy to be able to drive around in that car...especially since it looked a lot like my blue one. Well, he did pass away from the cancer at the age of 43. What a waste of life for a good guy that just couldn't get it together because of alcohol. Anyway, before I got so long-winded, the blue stripes in the caps were one of the things my brother did to the car. He was taking blue paint and adding his own personal touches to the car. It didn't matter to me as long as he was happy. The caps were regular Grabber caps, just kinda converted. Sorry for the long story. Have a great day...I gotta go cut some grass.
hey ray, i definetly wanna come stop by today! not sure as to what time right now because were headed to family reunion right now. ima go check out ur old car since our reunion is st the beach park pavilion. anyway, i dont know what the rest of our familys plans are but ill p.m. u my number
Not a fan of painted bumpers but that one looks pretty good with them. Can a 14" rim use the trim rings and dog dish caps like that car has? My 72 has the stock 14" wheels and I doubt I'll be able to add discs and 15" wheels anytime real soon. I have always liked the look of the trim rings and caps clint

Anytime ya'll come over this way give me a call. You're always welcome. :Handshake Keep me posted as you progress with your car and let me know if I can help with any more parts.
