Brought home a 74 2dr Comet yesterday for my 14 year old son. The previous owner had already pulled the 6 cyl and had a 302 to go into it. This car seems to be very solid, initial inspection doesn't turn up much rust at all. The body is in much better shape than the 72 Mav I'm working on for myself. My son's pretty excited about it. :yippee:

First thing he said is he wants most of the chrome taken off and it painted black, with gray interior. (He will become very familiar with block sanding). ;)

And, he wants a new CD player.

That looks like a great Comet for your son. He sure is a lucky boy to have a Dad like you. Will you adopt me?;) :)

Nice find! Man, I'd kill to find a car like. One of these days I'll find a Comet worth while...

Thanks, I figure 500 bucks wasn't too bad for the car and a '79 302 to go in it.

And no, I can't afford to adopt anyone, 2 teenage boys is more than I can handle. I don't see how Hawkco does it with 4 girls.
