My first car was a 75 Comet G.T. It was a great car, but lacked it in the steering wheel department. I was 16 at the time and started out to a local junk yard to find a sportier steering wheel for my new hot rod. Asked the guy there "How much for a steering wheel?" He replied "10 bucks for anyone you find, except that one in the pinto over there." So I paid him. Well, he had me wondering why. So I headed right over to it that Pinto, and it had the best looking steering wheel there. So I apologize if there is any one out there with a pinto stallion minus a steering wheel. It did look good in my Comet. I also never went back to thjat junk yard. Kind of burnt my bridge there. Thank you Maverick .to. Now I know what was so special about that Steering wheel, and why it looked so good in my Comet.
