The plug on my '73 250 Straight 6 Ford Maverick that's on the right hand side of the motor is leaking oil, and I have no idea what the part is called. Anybody have a clue what it is? I can't drive it while it's leaking oil.

Also, I just got my car started for the first time in 2 months and let it idle to burn out the gas, i put sea foam in it to clean my fuel system out and it was really hot, and when I shut it off the water in the radiator started spewing out of the cap. The cap rubber piece is fine, but idk why it would make it that hot. Any help on that would be great too.

And last but not least, my exhaust is leaking where it connects to the motor. There is about a half inch gap where it's connected and it refuses to tighten anymore and I don't think it'll pass inspection with it smoking like that.

    All help would be appreciated.

can you be more specific about the oil leak, are you talking about the oil drain plug on the oil pan?

was the radiator cap on properly? if you run your car the radiator fluid should get hot in about 10minutes of idle.

is the bolt cross threaded on the exhaust manifold? if you can't get it on any closer it's either the wrong bolts or the manifold is bent or the bolt is cross threaded

are you talking about the oil pressure sender for the oil leak?

for the radiator cap, try a new one and make sure it is the right one. also do you have the overflow line and a capture tank? if your cap is not working or left loose it will spray liquid out before you even get to full running temp if you run it and shut it off.

we definately need more info on the exhaust.... maybe a picture?

I'll take one tomorrow, I think I got the oil leak problem fixed it's some thing that makes the oil light come on it has a wire hooked up to it i forgot what it's called it's out in the car but I think I got the right part I'll see tomorrow.

And the overflow hose on the radiator is missing a clamp and when I pulled off the hose it was ripped so that might be the problem.
