My post regarding the '76 Maverick that I bought for its spindles and rearend was moved to the For Sale forum, then deleted for apparently not conforming to the rules...the rule about ads having prices, I guess. I never intended for it to be an ad, I was just wondering if there was anything left on the car that anyone else needed. I can tell you that using this forum to try to get a few parts into the hands of those who might want or need them is definitely not worth the hassle. I'm getting far more for the spindles and rearend than I have invested in the car, so everything that I haven't removed already will go to the crusher tomorrow. What a shame.

I'm confused, were you trying to sell the parts or give them away? If you were selling, then it would definitely be an ad. Just my :2cents:

When you join a forum like this, you agree to follow the rules which are simple and easy to understand. Not much of a shame to crush IMO, the car appeared wrecked and is junk. If you cared about giving the parts to people who could use them, you would pull the ones that are obviously in good condition. Not doing that speaks for itself in this situation.

Personally, I thought it was pretty decient of him to take the time to post the information that he did. Obviously he wasent a Maverick guy but did his best to bring parts to our attention before they would dissapear to the crusher. Sometimes rules need to be bent. JMO

Don't be upset .... somebody was doing a little "board cleaning" and decided to move a whole bunch of stuff around. And then probably somebody else came along and thought it didn't belong there and deleted it.

I was impressed with the time he took to take pictures of everything. He had better pictures of stuff he was trying to give away then most people have on ebay for stuff they are trying to sell ....... opps, I said ebay. Does this thread now get moved to the ebay forum ??

    (just kidding)
Board Mods often have a tough call on whether something is out of place, they are just trying to make this place better for all.

Again, don't get upset! i thought you did a good thing posting it.

gotta agree with the others on this one.i thought it was nice of him to offer his parts to people who could use them, not to mention taking his time to go out and take/post pics, and replying to peoples interest in the parts.can't say i blame him myself.is there no tolerence here anymore? seems things like this just makes the hobby a little bit harder.my:2cents:

I didn't see anything in his post that should've been that big of a deal either. Unfortunately judging by his tone in this post, I doubt now that he's been dissed in this way that he's likely to return here...

We also dont know the mods side of the story either. If he still wants to sell the parts, im sure he could create a new thread that meets the requirements and it would be called a no harm no foul. Were all ford fans here.......
