Seems we have a delima in the works, to post or not to post, that is the question. IMO if you own several different models of vehicles and do umteen hours of repair and restoring, why not let others enjoy and see the accomplishments. Some work may even relate to the Mav/Comet questions and answers. Granted, the off topic thread is probably the most logical place for this but until Stefan, who is the man, posts a firm rule on it, let's all try and get along. To chastize a true gearheads abilities and choice of rides compared to your own, is a bit on the childish side. Have been beaten on the track by many a POS looking car, that has been built and driven to perfection. I will post a poll on the subject and let's see what the majority thinks.

I think its a stupid idea to ban other pics of cars. What if you see something that you would like to share that is different or unique and you cant post it because some people might not like it "BS". Leave the board as it is.Sounds kinda like removing the words" in god we trust "to keep from offending "others" Just my 2 cents Later Tim

As long as they're posted in the Off-Topic section, I have no problem with it. Why use a Maverick/Comet general discussion forum to talk about and look at pics of other cars??...

If its not Maverick/Comet related, post it in the off topic section. If you want to paint your car Hugger orange and post a pic of a Camaro to show us the color, thats ok as well. For signatures, dont make them to big and keep them "clean". If you do not want to see other people's signatures, you can turn this option off in your User CP

I think the whole "pole" thing is uncalled for and most of you don't get the point that I was trying to make in the first place.....it has nothing to do with liking or disliking other peoples cars or other makes of cars. The point that I was trying (emphasis on "trying") is that if you want to post pictures of your other cars, the off topic forum is the best place!! To be honest I was just kinda shocked to see pic's of other makes in someones signature, I may be the only one who thinks that's kinda weird but maybe it's just me.....

Now maybe I should put a picture of my lawnmower in my signature......:D

To say that you absolutely can't post pictures of anything other then a Maverick or Comet is very foolish......

Heck Steven ...your Lawn mower probably runs high 13s in the Quarter ! lol :)

In my opinion (and it IS just an opinion) I think maybe a non Mavcom photo in a sig is`nt
such a good idea. I do agree with Stefan that posting a non Mavcom photo to show a color ,or detail to make a point or to say "Hey check out my truck I just bought to haul my car to the track with ." because a person wants to share it with us fine by me.

Once again this is just my opinion...

I would rather not see a non mav/com in a sig. and by far the best place for them is in the off topic. JMO. This board is for the mav/com enthusist(spell), when I painted the truck and the motorcycle I posted in the off topic because I was happy with the outcome and wanted to share but I would not post in the mav/com general area. We have to keep some things sacred to our cars, we get beat up enough from other people that this is our little sanctuary. I have nothing against you Elliot and I'm positive you meant no disrespect but putting a non mav/com in your sig is kind of disrespectful to the idea of our carsand this board. Again just my opinion.

I didn`t mean any disrespect at all ,over at the ford six forum I had the same signature after all of this I asked them if it made any of them mad not a one said that they didn`t like my signature most of them said that they liked it and that forum is only for I6 fords I don`t have a I6 in any of my cars all of them are V8s (302 304 and 305) like I said I didn`t and still don`t know what the big deal is but I pulled the pics for y`all any way. I have a hard time making freinds any way so I do my best to keep people happy

Hey Elliot I think I've chatted with you on the other board and there are no hard feelings from me. there are alot of good people on here including Steve Moore :D I understand Steve and his plight to get the non mav/com in its place, I hope you can understand the true passion some share for our cars. We all like other cars and enjoy trying to be(in my case) motorheads but each auto has its place on the web.
