I finally got the nuts welded into the frame and got everything hooked up for the power steering. I replaced everything except the control valve which I rebuilt. What happens is that the power steering only works for right turns. Infact when you start the motor the wheel turn all the way to the right on there own. There was an adjustment in the control valve with a locking pin but nothing in the kit said what to set it to. Assuming this is the problem, anyone happen to know if I have it too tight or too lose? Please no comments about going to manual steering this is a factory original restoration. Thanks Ben
Thanks, that confirmed as I had thought but it doesnt tell how to adjust the ball. If its turning to the right do I need to tighten more or loosen it?
If the wheel is turning on it's own, you might want to check the two hoses that run between the control valve and the slave cylinder...I seem to remember I got those reversed one time and that was the result...
