power steering pump question.

    I'm converting my 1971 Comet to a serpentine system with the March performance setup that I already have. Does anybody know if I can use a 1978-89 ford power steering pump on a 1971. I'm not sure if there is to much pressure for the system. Everything has been rebuilt or new, but I'm still not sure.

    you should be able to use it considering most cars/trucks in that year range will have the same style steering setup anyways. i plan on using a later one on my '73 next yr as well (y)
