With the upper hood lock on Mavs, what's your best idea on locking down the hood to protect your investment? I'd prefer to not use hood pins.

I'm not sure about anyone else...but when I park my car somewhere I don't like..I lock the hood down by placing a chain with a hook on the end into the corner of my hood latch and attach it with a padlock to a chain I have bolted to the lower latch support. But of course I plan on adapting a locking cable type hood release in the future.

I use a "hose clamp" loop it around the skeleton frame on the hood and run it through a chain and then lock it at the bottom to part of the steering.
