   would a 59in 9in rearend fit a 72 comet.... i think its out of a 70 mercury montery?????

   i think mav spring perches are different width apart. mav rears are 56 3/4 wide total, so its close that way. wheel backspacing would adjust that. you do mean 59" drum to drum?
