I was wondering. Years ago I bought an original 71/72? Comet Hood scoop for my brother. He finally went to use it and it is cracked up pretty badly in several spots and bolt holes. Are these scoops hard to find and what do they go for? Does anyone have one laying around? Thanks, mike

Go to Crites, they did offer them for about $120 brand new repo's and the quality is very good.

If you opt to attempt to fix yours, here is a recent thread ...

I have yet to attempt to fix mine.

Original scoops in really good condition tend to sell for $250 or so. It is the same part that was used on some Cougars and other models. A lot of them have two part numbers inside, some have three. People doing strict restorations (again, mainly Cougars) tend to want originals.
