Okie dokie. I just had a quick question: Not that I'll be making it to any of them any time soon...If I were to show up at the Round-Up or any Mini Meets with my car looking more like an import than a Maverick, you guys wouldn't crucify me or anything, right? :D :D

    are you kidding!?

are you trying to be the black sheep inside a community of black sheep?:slap:
youll be lucky if you get off "just" being crucified:smash: :D

from what i've seen, no one will care, you may take some ribbing but I'd imagine youll be used to that by the time your car is done:) build it how you like, if you like import style, thats your call, its your car- your the only one that has to like it.

We like um all. Bone stock, or modified to the hilt. It's your car, and we have total respect in that.

Just don't be cutting holes in rust-free Grabber Hoods! :) :)

lol. Nice one, dan, but frankly, my grabber hood is not rust free. . And I'm not really thinking going all out import, because I love muscle. I just really like a lot of the stuff that you can do with imports that doesn't seem to be "acceptable" for muscle cars. For example, all kinds of sweeeeeeeet lighting, and kick a$$ stereo systems.

I spent years running in the circles that inspected every casting number and checked for chalk marks on the chassis. It is why I now have a Maverick.

(most of them won't know what they are looking at) :bananaman

Build it anyway you like. They don't have Mavericks at Barrett-Jackson

'Bout the only thing that irritates me with the imports is the mufflers...a drinking straw sized exhaust pipe feeding a muffler with a 5" outlet that sounds like a big bumble bee.

True. But I wouldn't go that route. That's just so....lame.

Shoot, I have a vision of a maverick.....and it has more "bling bling" than Master P could shake a stick at!
    But...thats just me dreaming!

Building it like you want, speaking for me, I like them ALL!

The most important thing is that you have the Mav as YOU want it. You don't have to please anyone other than yourself. Just because most of us aren't into the import scene or look doesn't mean that you cannot be. Who knows? It may actually be kinda cool when you're done with it. I was always a big advocate of having something unlike what anyone else has. (y)

I agree with Wes. I drive Mavericks because they are different, they look good, and hardly nobody has one anymore. I love going to the shows with them. You usually get two kinds of comments: "Hey, I had one of those way back..., or Wow, what is that, a Camaro???" Either they know what is is and appreciate it or they don't have a clue, even when they read the nameplate. I also say fix it up how you like it because it will be different from everyone else no matter what you do. As long as you're keeping another Maverick on the road we appreciate you. Have fun.
