I have just over 4" from the bolts to the radiator. I thought about the size factor but decided that it would still be better than factory anyway. Bigger radiator, bigger (elect) fan. The fan measrement takes most of the radiator. It only leaves a few inches on both ends but covers top to bottom, in a circle (as you say). I still have my external tranny cooler if I should need more cooling, but I doubt it. This one has my name calling so it should be ok
I currently have a 16 inch Zirgo fan on my car with a 19 x 26 aluminum radiator. Does OK but really needs a shroud for greater efficiency. I am going to swap to the Champion radiator and Taurus electric fan.
