radiator will 289 radiator fit on a 351w without overheating?

    I'm looking for a radiator for my 76 maverick i found one for a 1965 + Mustangs. now the radaitor is made for a 289 will that work with a 351w without haveing any problems, i'm surfor it will fite just dont know it it'll overheat.

    Whether it will match pump inlet and thermostat housing or not depends on the placement. It won't likely fit in the same place as a stock radiator - I could measure mine to tell you.

    It's not going to handle it for two reasons, first is those radiators were marginal at best for a warmed up 289. Second is the inlet and outlet are on the same side, letting the coolant shortcut half the radiator tubes.

    Some have the inlet and outlet in different places.
    as far as handling the heat I had a 3 row core factory radiator on a 350 hp 289 that kept the engine cool without a problem. It had the inlet and outlet on the passenger side.

    thanks , its a 2 row and i didnt think it could take to heat eather, and the inlet and outlet are on the same side i'll look for another one,is there any model car that would have the right radiator to fit a 76 maverick?

    You can get a new one with a guarantee for less than $200 from Champion Radiators.
