    Hey guys,
I just got online for the first time since the storm. I had to travel 20 miles to get Internet access but I had to get this taken care of. Fortunately I've been able to contact Earl Branham a couple of times and keep him posted and I thank him very much for letting you guys know. Personally, my wife and I are in good spirits as we and all our family are well. Most of my family members have lost everything they have. This storm has flooded places that have never flooded before so very few people even had flood insurance. We'll have to wait and see how much the goverment will help them...and I believe they will. I live three blocks from the beach and it hurts real bad when I walk out in my yard and see photos and personal belongings of my neighbors every where I look. My neighborhood is totally devastated. My house is repairable although I did get 10-11 feet of water in the downstairs portion. My main living quarters is upstairs so most of out dear and personal possessions are safe. All of my neigbors live in single story dwellings...everything lost. Their homes looks like bombs exploded in them. When they level all of the homes I will have no neighbors until they start the rebuilding process...if they come back. There is nothing salvageable to the south of me all the way to the beach, nothing east or west of me for at least 1 mile either way, and nothing north of me for 4-5 blocks. They all had to leave. My elevated home is the only thing that helped me. So please don't feel bad for me, my neighbors lost much more than I. All 4 of my Grabbers did get submerged. I had just bought a 74 2-door car the week before the storm...lost it too. I'm going to make every attempt at saving my blue car. It's well treated inside and out but I plan on disassembling it 100% and will see what I can do. My original green one, I hope to save too since I've had it for 31 years now...I owe it that much to at least try. The red one and yellow ones will most likely be parted out along with the 74 I just bought. They will be a little easier to replace. My 70 Boss 302 got it also. It's totally disassembled so it needs to be restored anyway. I'm going to go ahead and put it up for sale so someone can jump on it and try to save it. It's too valuable of a car to let is just sit there and I can't possibly save it also...not enough time in a day.
Anyway, I want to thank each and everyone of you guys for your prayers and concerns. I spent about an hour trying to catch up on old messages and you guys had my heart going. It will probably be a few days before I get back on but you guys don't need to worry about me anymore. We are survivors...we will rebuild better and stronger than before. I see a stroker motor in the near future.
    Love you guys!!!

I'm so glad that you guys are safe. That is a jaw dropping story.

Ray, we have never met. I only "know" you through the postings we have shared on this board. But I want you to know that I, and others like me have been thinking about you since the storm hit. If you need anything that I can give you, all you need to do is ask.

May God bless you and your family, and your neighbors too!

GREAT to hear from you, Ray! Glad to hear you guys are getting back on your feet. Also glad to hear your planning on saving the blue and green one.

We got a new girl at school to day from Pascagoula. They lost everything also and just got what little saveable and headed for Atlanta where they have family. They are one of the ones that won't be comeing back.

Take your time and get everything back together. We'll be here when you get back. We're all pullin' for you guys!

Ray, we're here for you. I lost it all in house fire in '97. We got back all we had plus some, except the pictures. If you need some good Grabber parts, I can hook up my trailer and bring you Dan's Grabber.:49::biglaugh:

Ray, glad to hear you and your family are O.K. It is pretty amazing that your house is the only one left in your immediate area. Try not to part out your other Grabbers until things start to get back to normal. You might regret it later if you do. Hope things work out for you.

It's so good to hear from you, Ray. It's a relief to everybody here to know that you and your family are doing well and have survived with your spirit intact. I'm willing to bet if each one of us could, we would come down there and help you rebuild your home and your Grabbers. Just know that we are here for you and we are pulling for you 100%. Keep in touch when you can. You, your family and your neighbors will be in my thoughts and prayers.

This might be a stupid question, by since you are so close to the beach, is that salt water from the storm surge or rain flooding? I just can't imagine an electrical system that has been submerged in salt water (house wiring and the cars :49: )
