Rear end /axle question

    1988 chevy 1500
    I was wondering,the 72 grabber I just got has 4 lug axles in a 8in rearend,can i just change the axle out to a 5 lug axle instead of whole thing?we were not sure.I appreciate any help.thanks kenny

    You posted this in the wrong area. But no you cant, the bearing sizes are different.
