Rear End

    ive got the rear end out of a 78 mercury monarch in my maverick and was wondering if it is a 9in or an 8in ? how could i find out?

    it is most likely a 8" the monarch is the mercury version of the granada and these are pretty much direct replacement parts for the Maverick, in fact I have Monarch disk brakes on the front of my car.
    the general rule of thumb is look at the bottom bolts on the carrier, if you can get a ratchet on them it is an 8" if you can't and would have to use a box end wrench then it is a 9".
