Frank, are looking for other options instead of KYB and airshocks? If so, Monroe: Front 33059 Rear 32103 Gabriel: Front 81076 Rear 82130 I have only used the Monroes, with A/C, V8. Worked fine for me.
...:Handshake...but it shows the bottom mount different. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Monroe-32103-Monro-Matic-Plus-Shock-Absorber-/170703545302 the Gaberil 82130 looks good...
KYB's are pretty good, I've got them on my car, they aren't too stiff, if that's what you are thinking.
Thats a generic photo, here it is from Monroe's Online Catalog: http://catalog.monroe.com/catalogPa...methodName=initialiseMonroe&partNumber=32103#
Not always.. I ran mine for many years and no damage. You just can't max them out. I would lean on not using them because of poor cornering. BUT, poor cornering for me was when I tried them at the top. I did try them filled to the top and it was bouncy stiff and horrible around corners. I am glad I decided at that point to reduce the air to just below the top otherwise it could have done something..
