Anyone know the cost of rear springs generally? Went to local spring shop and he would make me a pair from scratch..............for $250................each! Thought that might be a little high as opposed to having some shipped to Alaska. Maybe there is a spring Mfg that I could get a quote from. Any help is appreciated as usual. Mac Couple recent pics..........painting isn't perfect, but wasn't nearly as hard as I thought.
Yep, JC Whitney has em cheap as anyone, and good quality. I got the 4-leaf for a 1/4" lift :16suspect Actually, noticed no lift. But they ride a lot nicer than my worn out stock 3-leafs...
I used JCWhitney ... if you time it right during sale or have a coupon code you get a discount plus free shipping ...
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/...5/N-111+600011307+200730958/tf-Browse/s-10101 3-leaf $59 each, ZX967576XF 4-leaf $59 each, ZX977891RF Hope the link above works... I also bought the 3-1/2" stock shackles from AutoKrafters, and the bushings/bolts. So, no more long shackles, and all new rubber and springs and shocks (stock replacement from AutoZone).
As everyone said, JC Whitney - excellent replacements made in spring shops here in the USA. DO NOT order spring shackles from JCW - they are made in India and are horrible quality.
we could.... if they still offered them... i checked their site about 6 months ago... no listing for leafs for mavericks... and i checked just now... still nothing listed for leafs for a maverick
I think you need to call them for Leaf spring options. Eaton is another option http://www.eatonsprings.com/
ahh .. ok a long time ago they had the links up for ordering. then when i was ready to order.. links were gone...
ESPO and Eaton are gonna be more expensive (if they have 'em). And yes, do not get shackles from JCW. The springs are excellent though...
Man if I painted a car outside like that around here they would lock me up and throw away the key. I would have thought Ak would be worse on air polution. Good job by the way and good luck.
