rear window/audio

    if i put three comp. 12's then would i have to change out the window with something else or reinforce it or what

    Maybe I'm just thickheaded but I'm not really sure what you're trying to accomplish here... Why would you want to go to the trouble of fabricating a new rear window just to accomodate speakers? That window has a compound curve, and I doubt a flat piece of plexi-glas would fit. In any case I don't think it would be legal on the street.

    who said anything about legal?

    i just dont want the bass to shatter the windows when i go to competitions

    i am with maxsideburn on that one...When the radio is all the way up and you still here the engine that is when you have a muscle car:D

    all derision aside...

    What kind of wattage are you thinking about here johnson?
    Three comp twelves will certainly turn some heads, but a pair of solobarics will do the same job in less than half the space.
    I really wouldn't worry about the rear window. Put the subs in the trunk.
