Can anyone give me steps to removing my original starter solenoid & putting this new dura last one I bought for it in? Doing it in a few hours when I get out of school & I know it's screws & bolts I'd just like some steps. & it's a 77 Mercury comet with 250 inline 6

I personally would take the Duralast one back to Auto Zone. I don't trust anything from Auto Zone unless it is a well know name brand.

If ur unsure of the process, take a picture first.
    1.)Disconnect battery "both cables"
2.) Unscrew the large cables going to the solenoid
3.) Leave the small wires on the old unit till U have mounted the new unit to fender
4.) Mount the solenoid to fender "while u hv all the cables loose, clean any build-up on cables and battery terminals.
5.) Connect the small wires to new unit
6.) Connect the large wires back on each side of solenoid
7.) Re-connect battery cables to battery --- that should do it.

Craig actually gave you very good advice, which you will find out when you get to do this all over again.
