Removing the column shift knob

    Well? How do I get the shift knob deely-bob off of the end of the shift lever?

    I had my wife yell at mine. It gladly removed itself and has not been heard from since. Anything short of that would involve a vice to clamp the shift lever in and PULL!!!! or a hacksaw as Hacksaw415 said.

    Sounds lke there is little subtlety needed. I just got a new one to replace the old one and got rid of the shaft too
