I am not sure if this has been posted before or not, but if it has sorry for posting old news. But I just recently ordered some fabric samples for my 73 Grabber Interior redo from SMS Auto Fabrics out of Canby Oregon. When they sent me the fabric samples they also attached a flyer indicating that they make exact reproduction door panels for at least the 73 thru 76 Mavericks that I saw on the flyer. There was pictures in the flyer showing the door panels and they looked really nice. They may make the earlier years 70-72 also along with the panels for Comets too. I just have not had the time to go back and check yet. I just got my samples yesterday evening. I will say that they are a little pricey at $759.00 for the pair, but as I said, in the picture they gave me they looked really nice. Only you can decide if you want to spend that much money or not or if they are worth that much to you, but I am not aware of any other options for these short of having custom made door panels. You can go to their website www.smsautofabrics.com and do a search for them to see if they have the other styles that you may need or call them at (503) 263-3535. Their hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm PST. They carry most fabrics for older car interiors along with headliners, carpet and window lace also from what I saw on their website. This is Just FYI info for everyone. Thanks Allen Small
I ordered in samples for my 73 Grabber which has the orange interior and the samples I got look like they have a gold tint to them. It was dark last night when I got home and did not get a chance to take the actual sample and put it up against the original material to see how it matched. It will be dark every night this week and for quite awhile when I get home so it will have to wait till Friday before I can make a good comparison of the two materials. I am hoping it is a match and my eyes are playing tricks on me with the gold tint that I think am seeing. I am getting old and the eyes are not what they use to be. LOL Allen Small
