    Hi everybody!!

My name is Guy Easton and I am 46 years old.
I started getting into cars at the age of 14.
My first car was a1967 LTD.

At the age of 17 I made my 2ND car deal for a 1964 Comet Caliente 2 door hard top with a factory 289 and a 4 speed.

The next 3 years I put approximately $13,000.00 into this car.
    I rebuilt the 289.
    Bored it out 30 over.
    New 11:1 pop up pistons.
    Ball peened the rods.
    New Billet crank.
    New flywheel.
    New high performance clutch pack.
    Balanced the engine.
    289 heads with stainless valves.
    Screw in rocker studs.
Very large crane cam with triple valve springs.
"If I remember right the cam had like a 590 lift"
"At the time it was the 2ND from the largest cam you could buy"
    Single Carb Tunnel ram.
    Holly Double pumper carb.

I ran the numbers off the 4 speed and went through Napa Auto Parts and ordered a rebuilt 4 speed transmission and Installed it.

I replaced the master cylinder and all the brake lines.
I replaced all the brake shoes and springs in each hub.
I replaced all brake drums with all new drums.

One day, after I had all this work done to the car, I had a bunch of friends over and Robert wanted to go for a ride.
Well, I took Robert for a ride and at the time I only had the drivers seat installed so he had to sit on a bucket...

I went down our Hwy about 3/4 of a mile and turned around at the bowling alley.
I took it easy then shifted into 2ND gear and hammered on it, I then shifted into 3rd gear and hammered on it again and before I new it I was hitting 100 mph before I shifted into 4th and slowed down.

I was in such a daze/rush i didnt even pay attention to Robert at all.

When I parked in my driveway, my other friends were asking where Robert was?
I turned around to look in the back and Robert was crawling out of the trunk area in the back.
We all started laughing our butts off!!

    Heee Heee Heee...

Needless to say it wasn't to much later that one of my "FRIENDS" talked me out of the car in 1983.

In 1995 ?? I ran into the guy I originally bought the car from downtown Seaside and he said that he had the car and that he was willing to sell it back to me cause he knew what I put into it.

I forgot about the car till the Summer of 2006.
I started looking for this guy and it seemed like he just fell off the face of the earth.
Then I got ahold of a relative of his and he said he has been in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area.
AND..... The best way to get ahold of him was through the JAIL...
Because he still gets into trouble now and then.

So, I ran up the Jail Roster up off the Internet and sure enough there was his name.
He was arrested the day before.

I sent a letter to him in care of the jail.
About 1 month later, I got a letter back in the mail saying he still had the car and as soon as he gets out of Jail he will contact me and sell me the car...

He called me about 2 weeks later and we made arrangements to meet and go look at the car.
We made the deal and we loaded the car up on the car trailer and the car now sits in the same garage in sat in back in my youth being disassembled.
Piece by piece this car is being rebuilt and restored, AGAIN....
