seat belts

    anyone tell what type came in my 72 grabber it origanaly had buckets it nows has a bench with slots in the seat for the belts to come through.I got one belt with the car that was retractable but it want fit between the seat and rocker I'm ready for the road just need some belts please help

    did the 72 grabber come with shoulder belts or just the lap belt? mine only has the lap belts in it...

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    All Mavericks had shoulder belts.

    My 72 bench has lap belts and shoulder belts non-retractable.

    Yeah, and the shoulder belt clipped into the belt. It hung along the top of the window when not in use... the elastic would wear out, and then the shoulder belt would smack you in the head when getting in and out of the car ... nice reminder to use it ... :rolleyes:. I removed the shoulder belts from the car a long time ago.

    I will be replacing the belts with 3-way retractables very soon. Getting an all-new interior right now. There are some good deals on belts on eBay by a few vendors.
