We are gettng ready to install a new shift boot to the 3sp manual floor mount and we want to do it in a correct and proper manner. So the question becomes, Does the boot rest directly on the floor pan or should it lie on top of the carpet? If it is supposed to rest on he floor, is there a super secret method to get it through the hole in the carpet or do we need to pull the carpet.
