Does any one know any more on these shifter boots, the D1DZ-7277-A OR D1ZZ-7277-B????
And will the Maverick trim(please post its part number Dan) fit on the Mustang boot?

    Thanks,
    Steve

The D1ZZ shifter boot (Mustang) is different than the D1DZ shifter boot (Maverick). D1DZ shifter boots are VERY hard to find.

There are two D1ZZ-7277 shifter boots, A and B. The -A is the 1971 version and had a rectangular hole, while the -B is 1972-73 and has a round hole. http://429mustangcougarinfo.50megs.com/components_2.htm

I think there are two topics going on here... :)

    Shifter boots

Well, I'd like to find the Maverick shifter boot but would settle for either of the two mustang shifter boots. Especially if my rough looking plastic trim/bezel/?? will fit on the Mustang boots. Even if not I'd trim it or leave it off if the Mustang boot looks right.

Cool. I don't know if the Mustang boots will fit the Maverick bezel. I have a used D1ZZ-7277-B, but I don't have a Maverick bezel, otherwise I could test it for you. Unfortunately, I don't think either of Mustang boots are reproduced... but I could be wrong. Good luck in the search. (y)
