I am Just Getting A new Trans/ Engine Combination Running. The Trans has a Manual reverse valvebody and I have the factory floor shifter. I have adjusted the rod several times and cant get it right. I have reverse in two spots right after 3rd and in between nuetral and what is supposed to be park....I say that because I dont feel the pawl engage. The Trans was built by a well respected performance trans rebuilder. something in the internal linkage?:scratchchin:

    shifting

I think I have a internal linkage issue because without the shift rod working the lever on the trans I cannot feel a solid park setting or pawl engagement. This is my first reverse valve body. only the forward ranges positions have changed right? park reverse and neutral are still in the same locations, correct?

My intention was to machine a new Detent Part as soon as I can figure out what is happening. I can feel all ranges and reverse and neutral are there...1st where drive was at 2nd still same and 3rd where 1st was but then it drops a little farther and into reverse again.:hmmm:
