here are some pics from the show this year. weather was beautiful. high 70's to low 80's. we had 13 mavs and 2 comets show up. (we missed you frank) 2 of those were 4 doors (mine and morgans dads). CAMEO had a good showing with 8 cars. here are some pics. had a great time meeting old friends and getting to know some new ones this yellow mav belongs to a fellow board member and was very nice.
the first two cars belong to glen from the cameo club. after a 2 year hiatus he came back to win a vendors choice award for best unrestored ford with the green grabber. the red comet won best in class for the maverick/comet class. very nice cars and congratulations.
Hey Guys !!!!!!!! Attention, attention, Attention----- I Just Talked To Hottie 2 (dana) From This Board And I Have Some Horrible News To Share. On The Way Home From The Show A Woman Pulled In Front Of Her And Destroyed The Car You See Below. The Front End Is Wrapped Around The Engine And Then The Other Car Spun Around And Hit The Rear Bending The Car Beyond Repair. Dana Is A Nurse And Says She Is Fine But Is On The Way To The Hospital For Xrays. She Just Graduated And Lived For This Car. She And Her Dad Built It Together. She Is Very Upset. Lets Keep Her Supported And In Our Prayers As She Goes Thru This.
Great pics Thanks 4 taking time to post them,my son is really excited about building his. STEW:Handshake
This is a great picture showing (what I presume) is the same Maverick front spoiler on (3) different cars.
Great pictures, I'd like to see this one with the hood down. Looks like a 64 AF/X Comet... Shame about Dana's car. Sorry to hear it.
withthe exception of the yellow 2 door and maverick73's 2 cars, cameo had the front row filled up. they build some awesome cars. chip is currently building a 427 powered 2 door. can't wait to see it.
Nice showing! too bad about Dana I hope she's okay and gets enough insurance money to recreate her hot rod.
Sorry we missed it. Frank and I were really looking forward to coming down and meeting lots of new people. That's the last time I will trust "weather.com". So sorry to hear about Dana's car. Glad she is ok. ...FWE...
How horrible about Dana's car. I met her Sat and she was so meticulous with that car, cleaning every spot on it. I hope she is ok and is able to get enough insurance money to buy another one. That was quite a car she had and the love for the car showed through with the detail given it. Boy, you never know what's around the next bend, do you? It was great meeting some of you for the first time and others again. Sunday was rainy, but all in all, it was a great show. Jim
