I removed the old sender fuel feed line then drilled a hole in the new fuel sender and soldered it in.. Thoughts?

its was tight but it will fit in the tank.. I just need the little duck bill rubber piece on the end of the return line

the problem is that the stock pick up is prone to fuel slosh at low fuel levels. with a carb this is usually not a big problem because you have the fuel in the float bowls. with fuel injection the motor will shut off when the fuel sloshes away from the pick up. a fuel injection take has some sort of baffle system around the pick up tube to capture fuel around the pick up tube.

Why not have the return plumb to the tank's drain plug?

    on the...pickup side...
i have used a piece of 3/8" hose, long enough to lay flat on the bottom of the tank...on the end of the hose i installed a metal fuel filter (for a 6cyl 1 bbl carb).
this seems to slosh with the fuel...(y)

    ...i used the...cheap...fuel line, it's more flexable than the...fuel injected...hose...:yup:

    ...JMO...:tiphat:

with where the return fuel exits, will it cause...cavitation...and let the pickup suck air?

Did the same thing on my initial install. Worked fine.

Don't forget the vented gas cap if you use this method.(y)
