I haven't had internet access since the beginning of Summer so this is a delight. Updates: The original bellhousing I had works on the motor...theres two sets of bolt holes, one for the auto and one for the 4speed. Engine runs now, breaking it in rather hard, reving it up. Headers sound EXCELLENT and LOUD. Drive shaft goes in tomorrow. Then I'll drive it. Wish I had some pictures, I'll try to get some soon. Well, I have to go. Jeff
There used to be somebody like you around here. I heard he got bought by a band of gypsy's and was carried off to the mountains somewhere.
Preston's been working his tail off lately. He called me from the field a week or two ago. He has about a 3 hour daily commute (round trip), so he's leaving like 5am and getting home about 9pm and practically going straight to bed. That job is supposed to wrap up this week, so hopefully he'll be able to get some rest and make an appearance.
Where's Jeff been? Hi jeff, I guess I never really paid attention before but man you are just on the other side of the state. It sounds like we are both in the same boat! Just swapped out motors in my 76. I didn't go the header route, but getting closer to driving the Maverick everyday. I fighting the brackets and pulleys right now, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. How about some pictures of the finished product......
Welcome back Jeff...put that drive shaft in and meet us in conway Arkansas this coming saturday for the toad suck mini meet. it could be a shake down run...Jim
