With older cars and lubrication...is there any special name brand or oil/ lubrication that works better with comets? Also, I am investing on a wrench set, should I get SAE or metric or both?
use the oil thats for high milage engines. it has conditioners in it that helps keep seals in the motor from drying out. you need a sae tool set. there may be some metric bolts used some where. if they are used they should be 8mm or 10mm. the 8mm ones you can use a 5/16s on.
Get yourself a decent set of sockets, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" and a set of combination SAE wrenches. I have picked up extras of several sizes at garage sales as sometimes it's nice to have 2 of them.
