I just got the Marti Report on my 71 Comet GT. Here are the statistics: 13,677 GTs were made. Of them, 4738 have the 302 w/3 speed manual (34.6%) 4903 were Bright Blue Metallic (35.8%) 764 were Bright Blue Metallic w/ Blue interior (5.5%)
. Only problem is it still isn't worth anything . Ahh well, thats a problem all of us mav and comet lovers learn to live with (even the four-door lovers!).
Dennis? I have to ask now that you have let the cat out of the bag. Will there be a Comet at the next roundup? Seth
Yeah Dennis..... Are you going to buy a 2 car hauler? Cause the Sprint has to be there! I think that new truck you bought could handle 2 cars!
I have no plans to start on the restoration any time soon, Although it has been pushed ahead of my 57. As far as getting it to the Roundup, I dont know how I'm going to do it once it is done. The Sprint cant take a back seat.
I remember you talking about it...but I thought the deal fell thru. Glad it worked out. I can't believe you would put ANYTHING ahead of the 57 Ranchero!! Are you ever going to get that car/truck done? And yes...we will have a Comet at the Round-Up next year Seth....you are bringing yours!!
Dennis: Maybe we should share the cost of a mult-car transporter next July. That would assure everyone that we have an assortment of cars-Comets as well!
He has all the Ford production records from 67 -73. I wish he had them for all years. It cost money for a report but is worth the price in my Opinion. Check him out here: http://books@martiauto.com/
