Stock gap on my '77 Monarch with a 302, was .054. I went down to the next colder plug, and currently run .060. I've also bumped the timing up a LOT. According to the valve cover, it said 4 degrees at base timing, and 11 degrees at full advance. I run 21 degrees at base, and 41 at full advance. The car SCOOTS now, but I have to run 93 octane in it at all times.
