Ladies an gentlmen I am sad to say, that my Maveric has under gone a severe transforation...Some how, it came to pass that it spunn acacoon around itself and now has become an 89 t-bird with a 302 with interceptor.. and many other fine things like auto lights on and off for those of us who forget the simple things in life
any one ever heard of this happenning?

    Ok Ok you got me.....
My Maveric has been suffering a great fate of mechanical issues, evrerything from ranging from leaking gass tank to leaking gass tank seals.the electrical system has begun to fail aand some were the wiring for the left turn signal aea became shorted and even after a new bulb it still failed. so, some one traded me the maveric for the t-bird...T_bird is in great condition withthe acceptance of a minor dent in the rear....but, I'll continu to hang arround in here lol

Well, I am sorry that your Maverick"died", in a sense, but who knows how long it will take for the Maverick bug to strike again! :D Anyway, looks like you've got yourself a pretty sweet T-Bird. Talk to you later.

unfortunetly, people who insist on depending on a 30+ year old vehicle for daily transportation must be of the most die hard fix it your selfers, or their old car will suffer the same fate as yours did.

This is why I would never use an old car again for daily use--it is best to have them for weekend duty. My father drives a 30 year old toyota around every day-until he blew the engine, but he is a die hard individual like some of us around here.

Not to insult you, I completely understand where you are coming from.

Good luck with that tbird though, unfortunetly I think he got the better end of the trade. While the 302 should be good to last you some time into the next millenium, the auto trannys are junk and can't go 60k, expect those fluid filled motor mounts to blow, as well as other little quirks. I have a 94 thunderbird 6 cylinder, and everything in the book has gone wrong.
