Alright, I've been exhausting the internet for months now and most of the classic shops I've been to can't seem to help me. A few years ago, I bought a 73 Maverick, 4-Door. Issue arose when I was having new drums put on when my mechanic told me I have two different sized spindles in the front. This also led to the issue that I also have a different size wheel hub assembly. Where can I find a spindle and wheel hub assembly with bearing???? Also, does anyone know if these front spindles, wheel hubs and bearing are interchangeable with the 2 door?

Is there a part number on the spindle?

Spindle, bearing & hub size increased for 1970 in all Ford pony and mid-size vehicles, so someone has swapped a '69.5 spindle on it, or one from a '67-'69 Mustang/Torino/Falcon or other similar intermediate... In the real world it doesn't make any difference, I have two different sizes on mine, apparently the '69 Torino that donated it's spindles had one replaced with a later model...

I never heard of a 4 door and a 2 door using different spindles - maybe one of your spindles is a later model :hmmm:

The 1974 and up Mavericks/Comets had a bigger hub. If you ever try to put a 1971 5-lug factory steel wheel on a 1974, it will not go all the way on because the hole in the middle of the wheel is too small.

Right now would be a good time to switch to disc brakes.
