Steering 1973 Ford Maverick.. Have to change to a floor mount shifter 'C4' to accommodate for new headers. Any sugestions on what type of calumn I should change to. Tilt calumn and bolt on is preferred. Thanks Mike
I used a 69 Mustang column in my 69.5 Maverick because it had no ignition or shifter in column as my ignition is under the dash. The outer column tube was the same and I just transferred my Maverick mounting brackets over and it bolted right up. I didn't try to bolt up the rag joint to the stock steering box as I am using a rack. I believe if you look at a 70 Mustang column, it will now have the ignition key in the column and might work for you. These columns are cheap on Ebay. I think I paid 49.00 for mine. Maybe worth looking into :Handshake
Thanks Bob, ill look in to that. Hey those steering spindles I found by Willwood will bolt directly to stock A arms..At lest thats what they say. I havent got there yet maybe next month.
