I need a source of inexpensive good quality parts for my front end. I already bought the control arms and all the rest but I want to replace the tie rod ends and idler arm on the front end as well. From what I found out they won't interchange with the 71-73 Mustang parts like the control arms do. Has anyone got a good source for steering parts?

Good quality and cheap are oxymoron's. I would recommend Moog/TRW products, available from any good auto parts store.

Idler Arm part # K8150 or Bushing kit K8103
    Outer Tie Rod ES387R
    Inner Tie Rod ES387L
    Adjusting Sleeve ES2004S

    TRW Part #
Idler Arm 18771 or Bushing Kit 12253
Tie Rod Ends and Sleeve are same as Moog

    Mavoholic,
That is why I asked for inexpensive - I don't want or need cheap parts.
Sales on the web are usually less expensive for the same parts from an auto parts store. Around here (greater Seattle) parts at the local parts store are generally twice what I can get the same part for on the net. I saved over $200 on the suspension parts but that website was a Mustang site and they had nothing that changed over to Maverick on the steering parts.
Does anyone know of a good source on the net?

Running those part numbers thru ROCK AUTO PARTS...indicates they work on a variety of Fords...ie Mustang...69-73....check their site as the prices are usually competive with anything you'll find..

I see kits on ebay from time to time.
