Well it has been a long time coming but I finally got my 347 stroker motor :bananaman and as anybody would be I am excited and thought I would share it with my Maverick and Comet family.

Here are a few specs on the engine

Trick Flow fast as cast 190 heads that have had upgrades by T.E.A
    Probe flat top pistons
    Scat crank
    Scat I beam rods
    Comp cams roller lifters
Comp cams ultra gold roller rockers
    Custom cam .574 I .566 E
    Stud girdle on bottom end

10.3 compression, built to be pump gas friendly
650 dp Quick fuel carb (will upgrade this)
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake (will upgrade this as well)
    Hooker 6208 1 3/4" headers (6901s in pic)
    CSR electric water pump
Crankcase evac system (goes from valve covers to headers)

Now the real fun begins, putting this in the recently purchased from Rick Book 70 Grabber (Named The Bookmobile)

Here are a couple pics for viewing pleasure

    That is purty :thumbs2:

I know exactly how you feel. A few weeks ago I finally got my newly built 393 C back from the speed shop.

Looking at that shiney blue chunk of metal now keeps me going on the rest of the car.

I thought the 302 or 306 or whatever was in it was pretty fun to drive. It pulled harder than my 308. Maybe the rear gears gave it a better response when the throttle was tapped?

Either way, that 347 just might be a little fun to drive. I don't know. Let us know after you get it in and run it. And don't forget to use a HAT CAM!!!
