So I was talking to this guy who used to fix cars and he said that the suspension on mavericks was all bolt-on so replacing it was really easy. Is this true and if it is where can I find a NEW suspension system?

The suspension is bolt on (virtually all automobiles are this way) But, the mount points on the chassis of the car where the suspension attaches, are part of its structure and not easily removable if you intend to change the suspension designe from original. It can be done... Fab skills and welding will be required of course. Not to mention some cash or an awsome credit line.

Yes disc brakes are a bolt on...74 and up Mavs had em and Ford granadas/ Mercury Monarchs had em. Find a donor and grab the spindles along with the attached disc parts. Do a search on the forum regarding disc brake swaps and check the tech articles section...You will find all the info you need regarding the swap.

Its a pretty straightforward swap. I did it a few months ago when I rebuilt my whole front suspension. You can buy full front suspension kits from PST for a good price.
