ok iam swaping a efi 5.0 into my maverick and i was wondering if i can take that stock spacer thing out so i can mount thottle body strait on intake manfold so the intake pipe want hit shock tower
I don't see why you can't if you're going into an older car. As long as the computer can do without the EGR, it shouldn't be an issue.
the spacer holds the bracket that the throttle cable mounts to. accufab sells a 1/4" thin spacer that will do the trick for you.
